The Gucci Cosmos London Exhibition opened this week (11.OCT.23) located in the famous 180 Studios, London. Niche attended on the first Saturday after opening, to have a closer look at the scenes.
In all honesty, after having attended countless exhibitions in London; of all recent displays GUCCI Cosmos undoubtedly takes the crown. The experience was executed in small groups all having different time slots, we were loosely guided in an almost tour form, but the type of tour where the group is roaming freely and under no time constraint. Photography was encouraged which was great, and many models and heirs have already taken advantage of that perk.

Background:
"contemporary artist Es Devlin has envisioned the exhibition design as a series of immersive worlds highlighting the themes that have continued to reappear throughout Gucci’s history, adding two new ones for the London stop."
The Exhibition tells the story of GUCCI through 9 different installations. Starting with the recreation of the Savoy Hotel Lobby where Guccio Gucci dreamed that one day luggage would bear his name.
The exhibition was filled with Gucci’s history and origin story, which seems to be a key focus of the brand in recent years following the release of House of Gucci. The rooms were so intricate in lighting, detail, sound and visual; it was any graphic or digital designer's dream display.
Overall impressions of the experience:
Organised, sufficiently planned, aesthetically stunning plus the Niche audience of Models and Fashion Creatives filling the queue on the day was actually the cherry on top of the experience, it felt very otherworldly like a Utopian Fashion Lucid Dream, almost like Charlie and the chocolate factory but Handbags.
NICHE RECOMMENDED ☆☆☆☆☆
If you are in London between (11 Oct - 31 December) Purchase a ticket (a student one if money is not currently in abundance) and just go have a look, because it's quite rare for a London Exhibition to fully master the use of modernity, technology, fashion and aesthetic displays in their shows. Many of the events we've been to over the past few months were all stunning but felt as though something more was missing. The Gucci Cosmos exhibit wasn’t missing a thing at all.
From 11 October - 31 December at 180 Studios in London, an immersive experience envisioned and designed by contemporary artist Es Devlin presents era-defining pieces curated by fashion theorist Maria Luisa Frisa to recount the heritage-infused narrative that the House has crafted from 1921 to present day.
