IS CHANEL FOR THE YOUTH?

Who doesn't know Chanel! But being known doesn't necessarily make you on trend. There are many High fashion brands, who are suffering at the hands of the new youth market, is Chanel suffering too?

To confess, if I were to send my partner out today to purchase a dream bag for myself. The bag returned with may or may not be Chanel, but that is besides the point. Endless rolls of plaid materials and buckled shoes and shirts and blouses at some stage will beg the question... is this fashionable and modern or do I look like a 90's receptionist.

Chanel has been alerted many a time that their style may be getting repetitive and to vamp it up like their other successful competitors; but time and time again they stick to their classic runway pieces and vision. Basically insinuating that they don't give a toss. However, that may have changed ever so slightly, as we caught wind of a new collaboration project Chanel releases with Chaos 69 Magazine Issue No.5 Which screams Gen Z, Modernity, Youth and Femininity in the newest possible way. After hearing this NICHE had to grab ourselves an office copy and have a closer look.

The diversity in their model choices, photography and unique styling was full marks; and I think these are just the first steps for Chanel in their youth inclusive, modern future. Nice.
